ADBL Marks Anniversary with Life-Saving Blood Drive

On the occasion of its 59th Annual Anniversary, the Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL) witnessed a successful blood donation program organized by the Agricultural Development Bank Employees’ Association Nepal, Head Office Committee, at the bank’s head office today.

The humanitarian program aimed to minimize the loss of human lives caused by blood shortages and to promote a culture of social service. Under the Head Office Committee alone, a total of 121 units of blood were collected. With the support of the Nepal Red Cross Society, the collected blood will be distributed to hospitals across the country to support patients in need.

The program was held under the chairmanship of Suresh Kumar Kshetri, President of the Head Office Committee. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dharmaraj Mainali, President of the Bank, Insurance and Financial Institutions Employees’ Union Nepal (BIFU Nepal). The program also saw the presence of Chhagendra Acharya, President of the Agricultural Development Bank Employees’ Association Nepal, along with the bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Deputy General Managers, departmental heads, branch managers, employees, customers, and well-wishers.

In his inaugural remarks, Chief Guest Dharmaraj Mainali highly appreciated the collective participation in such a noble humanitarian activity and encouraged the bank and the employees’ association to continue organizing similar social initiatives in the future.

Addressing the program, Employees’ Association President Chhagendra Acharya stated that the initiative would provide relief to patients struggling due to blood shortages in hospitals. He further emphasized that social activities conducted by trade unions enhance the dignity and public image of both the bank and the employees’ union.

The Employees’ Association also announced that its provincial committees will organize similar blood donation programs across the country within the month of Magh, further extending the spirit of social responsibility nationwide.
