LIC Nepal has successfully held its 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Nepal Administrative Staff College, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.
The AGM approved a cash dividend of 21.05% on the company’s current paid-up capital. The meeting also approved the annual report of the Board of Directors presented by the Chairman.
The AGM reviewed and approved the auditor’s report, including the balance sheet as of Ashadh 2082, profit and loss account, and cash flow statement for FY 2081/82. It also approved the appointment of auditors for FY 2082/83 and their remuneration, with the incumbent auditors, KJ Associates, deemed eligible for reappointment.
The meeting sanctioned the appointment of directors nominated by the founding shareholders and independent directors. Additionally, it approved an increase in meeting allowances for the chairman and members of the Board of Directors.
Under Section 105(1)(c) of the Company Act 2063, the AGM also approved expenses incurred under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility for FY 2081/82. Other matters were approved with the permission of the Chairman.
