Ncell Successfully Renews ISO 27001 and 27701 Certifications, Strengthening Data Security

Kathmandu – Ncell has successfully renewed its ISO 27001:2022 (Information Security Management System) and ISO 27701:2019 (Privacy Information Management System) certifications, reinforcing its leadership in information security and data privacy.

Last year, Ncell became the first telecom company in Nepal to achieve both ISO certifications, receiving international recognition for its robust data protection and privacy practices. This renewal underscores Ncell’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding customer information by adhering to globally recognized standards.

As part of the renewal process, an ISO-authorized body assigned an external auditor to conduct a surveillance audit at Ncell. The auditor evaluated the company’s processes against ISO controls and confirmed that Ncell’s information security and data privacy governance comply with ISO standards. The renewed certifications will remain valid for the next one year.

The scope of the renewed certifications includes Ncell’s Data Centre, Customer Service, and IT Services, highlighting the company’s dedication to reliability and protection. These certifications assure customers that their personal and sensitive information is managed securely and responsibly.

The ISO 27001 certification confirms that Ncell has implemented robust measures to protect customer and partner data from cyber threats and unauthorized access. Meanwhile, ISO 27701 demonstrates the company’s strong framework for protecting personal data, minimizing the risk of data breaches, and ensuring compliance with global privacy best practices.

These global certifications reflect Ncell’s transparency and accountability, reinforcing that customer trust remains central to its operations. The company’s systems are designed to minimize disruptions, mitigate potential risks, and enhance business continuity while prioritizing data security and privacy.

With these certifications, Ncell continues to set a high standard for the telecom industry in Nepal, combining cutting-edge technology with rigorous data protection and privacy practices.
