Garima Development Bank Launches Nepal’s First Virtual Credit Card

Garima Development Bank Limited, in partnership with the PhonePe network, has launched Nepal’s first virtual credit card service through its mobile banking app “Garima Digi Batua.”

Customers can activate the service on their mobile banking app after visiting a nearby branch and submitting a form. The virtual credit card, which exists entirely digitally, allows users to make payments via any QR code on the PhonePe network.

The card offers a credit limit ranging from NPR 10,000 to NPR 100,000, with the option to use interest-free credit for up to 45 days. Customers can choose to repay either 10 percent or the full amount as per their convenience.

Garima Development Bank stated that this service will provide a safer and more modern digital banking experience for its customers.

Currently, the bank operates 125 branches, 1 extension counter, and 51 ATMs nationwide, delivering simple, secure, and high-quality banking services through its digital platforms.
