Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Bam Bahadur Mishra, has stated that the stock market is the safest investment avenue for banks. He made these remarks during a Capital Market Literacy and Investor Awareness Program organized by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).
Mishra emphasized the importance of understanding the investment environment and having sufficient information before making investment decisions. According to him, evaluating market stability and available investment options helps investors make informed choices amid market fluctuations.
He highlighted the need for fundamental analysis in investment decisions, citing the example of Tesla’s stock price, which rose three months after Donald Trump became the U.S. President. “Investments should be made by carefully analyzing market fundamentals,” Mishra noted.
Deputy Governor Mishra encouraged investors to adopt a long-term perspective toward the stock market and stressed that well-informed, fundamentals-based investment strategies can ensure security and sustainable returns for both banks and individual investors.
