Cybersecurity Awareness Boosted in Sindhuli

The “Cybersecurity Capacity Building and Smart Board Knowledge Sharing Program” was successfully conducted in Sindhuli, organized by the CAN Federation District Chapter Sindhuli in collaboration with Kamalamai Municipality and Shrestha Computer Traders Sindhuli.

The program was chaired by CAN Federation District Chapter Sindhuli President Premnath Mainali, while CAN Federation Central Senior Vice President Chiranjeevi Adhikari attended as the chief guest.

The main speaker, CEO of One Cover Private Limited, Chiranjeevi Adhikari, delivered a detailed presentation on the rising cybersecurity risks in Nepal and the strategies employed by cybercriminals. He highlighted real-life examples of the negative impacts of cybercrime on businesses and public institutions and emphasized the need for immediate proactive measures.

On the technical side, Rajan Prajajuli, Pen Tester Engineer at One Cover Private Limited, shared practical cybersecurity practices, including penetration testing techniques, to help Nepali organizations strengthen their digital defenses.

The event was also attended by Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Surya Prakash Subedi; CAN Federation Bagmati Province President, Kiran Shrestha; President of Nepal Journalists Federation Sindhuli, Bawuram Devkota; representatives from Nutrik Nepal Company, New Capital Computer Traders, and technical teams.

Information technology and IT officers from Kamalamai, Golanzor, Tinpatan, Hariharpur-Gadhi, Ghyanglekh, and Fikkal municipalities, along with CAN Sindhuli officials, students, and teachers from Community Technical College and Shiddhababa Secondary School, participated actively in the program.
