Chiranjibi Subedi Wins CCIC Presidency with Strong Mandate

Chiranjibi Subedi has been elected as the new President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chitwan (CCIC) during the association’s 59th General Assembly and Convention.

Subedi defeated his opponent, Shirish Pant, by a margin of 299 votes, securing 1,484 votes compared to Pant’s 1,185 votes.

The election marked a clear victory for Subedi’s panel across key leadership positions:

  • Senior Vice-President: Rajendra Oli (Subedi Panel)

  • Vice-Presidents: Narayan Pradhan and Rajan Piya (Subedi Panel)

  • Vice-President: Janak Paudel (Pant Panel)

Most executive member positions were also claimed by candidates from Subedi’s panel, reflecting strong support from the business community.

The voting process witnessed a high turnout, with 2,719 of the 3,371 eligible voters casting their ballots.

CCIC holds its convention and leadership elections every two years, and Subedi’s election is expected to bring renewed energy and focus to Chitwan’s business and industrial development initiatives.
