Global IME Bank Honors Long-Serving Staff

Global IME Bank Limited has honored 175 employees who have completed 15 years of continuous service on the occasion of its 19th anniversary. The recognition ceremony was held at a special program in Kathmandu to acknowledge the dedication and long-term contribution of its employees.

The event was graced by the presence of Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of Global IME Bank and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), as the chief guest. Chairman Dhakal, along with board members Radhesh Pant, Ram Bahadur Bhandari, Krishna Prasad Sharma, Madan Lal Joshi and Narayan Prasad Paudel, Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Suman Pokhrel, jointly presented certificates of honor and ceremonial scarves to the employees.

Addressing the program, Chairman Dhakal said that alongside mergers and business expansion, the bank has been focusing on enhancing service quality by making it more effective and technology-driven. He noted that since its establishment 19 years ago as Nepal’s 19th commercial bank, Global IME Bank has strengthened its position across most financial indicators. Emphasizing teamwork and dedication, he credited the bank’s success to the collective efforts of its employees.

CEO Surendra Raj Regmi stated that the bank is moving forward with clear goals to provide innovative, customer-friendly and digitally advanced services in line with the evolving financial landscape. Deputy CEO Suman Pokhrel reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to delivering even higher-quality banking services with a strong focus on customer satisfaction in the coming years.

Global IME Bank has received several national and international accolades, including Bank of the Year 2014, Best Internet Bank 2016, Best Bank Nepal 2024 and 2025, Euromoney Award for Excellence 2022, 2024 and 2025, Best Bank ESG Nepal 2024, and Best Employer awards.

The bank is the first private-sector commercial bank with a presence in all 77 districts of Nepal.
