Rajesh Upadhyay, newly elected chairperson of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, has officially taken the oath of office and secrecy.
Upadhyay was elected as chairperson during the bank’s recently concluded 24th Annual General Meeting.
He took the oath on Wednesday before Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Bam Bahadur Mishra, in accordance with Section 127 of the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2073.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by executive directors of the Banking Regulation Department, Financial Institution Supervision Department, and other senior officials of the central bank.
