Kamana Sewa Development Bank Successfully Implements CSR Programs in Butwal

Kamana Sewa Development Bank Limited has successfully carried out a series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in the Butwal region, reaffirming its commitment to community development and social inclusion.

The bank implemented these initiatives through its Bhairahawa and Manigram branches, focusing on supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening community welfare. These programs coincided with the bank’s recent 19th-anniversary celebrations, where nationwide social initiatives were launched.

Through the Bhairahawa branch, the bank donated three beds to the Lumbini Disabled and Visually Impaired Orphanage, improving the living conditions for resident children. Similarly, through its Manigram branch, the bank distributed warm clothing to students of Shanti Namuna Secondary School to help them cope with the harsh winter in the Terai region.

The Butwal Regional Head, Mr. Hemant Babu Acharya, officially handed over the CSR materials, stating, “We are pleased to contribute to the welfare of visually impaired children and economically disadvantaged students.” He emphasized that supporting vulnerable groups aligns closely with the bank’s core values and CSR vision.

The bank allocates one percent of its net profit annually for CSR, focusing on sectors such as education, health, and sustainable development. Beneficiary institutions expressed gratitude, noting that these efforts directly improve living conditions and the learning environment.

Such CSR initiatives build trust between the bank and the community while reinforcing the social responsibilities of financial institutions. Kamana Sewa Development Bank has committed to continue organizing similar programs in the future, ensuring impactful and sustainable social contributions.
