Nabil Bank Enters a New Chapter

Nabil Bank Limited has formally entered a new phase of leadership as newly appointed Chairman Nirvan Kumar Chaudhary officially assumed office after taking the oath of responsibility.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the headquarters of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), where Mr. Chaudhary took the oath from NRB Governor Prof. Dr. Biswo Poudel. The event marked the completion of the formal leadership transition at one of Nepal’s leading private-sector banks.

Mr. Chaudhary was unanimously elected Chairman by the Board of Directors of Nabil Bank on January 12, 2026 (Poush 28, 2082). Senior officials from Nepal Rastra Bank, including Deputy Governors, as well as Nabil Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali and former CEO Anil Keshary Shah, were present at the ceremony.

Currently serving as the Managing Director of Chaudhary Group and Senior Vice President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Mr. Chaudhary brings extensive corporate leadership experience to his new role.

With his formal assumption of office, Nabil Bank is expected to further accelerate its “nBank” digital transformation agenda and strengthen its sustainable banking initiatives. The bank presently serves over 2.5 million customers across Nepal through its network of 268 branches.
