Nepal Life Celebrates 110 MDRT Achievers

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC), the pioneer and market leader in Nepal’s life insurance industry, has successfully concluded the Nepal Life MDRT Achievers Award 2026 at Pokhara Grand Hotel, celebrating the outstanding performance of its agency force.

A total of 110 agents were honored for qualifying for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) 2026, reaffirming Nepal Life’s position as the company with the highest number of MDRT achievers in the country. This achievement places Nepal Life ahead of competitors such as National Life and LIC Nepal.

To qualify for MDRT 2026, agents were required to collect NPR 5.396 million in premiums by the end of 2025. Higher performance tiers included Court of the Table (COT) at NPR 16.19 million and Top of the Table (TOT) at NPR 32.38 million. Achievers will also gain access to global MDRT conferences scheduled in Australia and the United States in 2026.

Addressing the ceremony, CEO Prabin Raman Parajuli and National Sales Head Umapati Pokhrel highlighted that these achievers are the backbone of Nepal Life’s nearly 30 percent market share. The Pokhara event combined recognition with motivational training and exposure to local tourism, further energizing the agency force.

Strong Financial Performance

Nepal Life’s Q2 financial results for FY 2082/83 reflect sustained growth and resilience. By mid-January, the company reported a solid rise in net profit.

  • Net Premium Income: Exceeded NPR 22.12 billion, up 12.26 percent

  • Investment and Loan Income: Reached NPR 9.22 billion, a 23.30 percent increase

  • Life Insurance Fund: Expanded to NPR 218 billion, ensuring strong policyholder security

During the review period, the company paid approximately NPR 28.54 billion in claims, reinforcing public trust through timely settlements despite a growing and maturing policy portfolio.

Shareholder Value and Market Strength

With a paid-up capital of NPR 8.20 billion, retained earnings of NPR 2.38 billion, and a catastrophe reserve of NPR 1.30 billion, Nepal Life remains financially robust.
