Shangri-la Bank is accelerating its digital transformation with the launch of Shangri-la Smart, a feature-rich mobile banking platform designed to give customers instant and reliable access to banking services anytime, from anywhere. This initiative marks the bank’s strong commitment to enhancing customer convenience through modern digital solutions.

The Shangri-la Smart app is available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, ensuring seamless access for users across Android and iOS devices. This broad ecosystem coverage allows the bank to effectively reach customers in both urban centers and remote regions.

Unified Digital Platform: Shangri-la Smart and BankXP
Beyond the mobile app, the bank offers Shangri-la BankXP, a unified platform accessible through both mobile devices and web browsers. This consistent interface allows users to manage their finances whether they are traveling with a smartphone or working from a desktop, creating a flexible and scalable digital banking ecosystem.

• 24/7 access to account information, statements, FOREX and stock updates
• Intra-bank transfers and interbank transfers via the Fonepay network

Security and Confidentiality Guidelines
While the platform uses 128-bit SSL encryption for secure sessions, Shangri-la Bank stresses customer responsibility in maintaining security:
• Never share login credentials, PINs, or passwords
• Regularly update PINs with non-obvious combinations
• Review details before confirming transactions
• Immediately report lost devices to block mobile banking access

Service Charges and Subscriptions
The first-time subscription to mobile banking is free; however, an annual renewal or maintenance fee—typically around NPR 350—applies. Inter-bank fund transfers may incur additional charges, usually about NPR 10 per transaction. The app also supports Card-less Cash Withdrawal, enabling ATM transactions without a physical card.
