NADA Urges Swift Stabilization of Nepal’s Auto Industry Amid Unrest

The recent nationwide protests and demonstrations have dealt a direct and serious blow to Nepal’s automobile sector, according to the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal.

Calling the auto industry a key pillar of the country’s economy, trade, and employment, NADA expressed grave concern over the safety of employees, customers, and infrastructure. The association urged the government to prioritize the security of the broader business community and to facilitate a rapid return to normal operations for the automobile sector.

NADA reaffirmed its commitment to act in the best interests of its member companies, consumers, and the overall automotive industry. It emphasized that responsible leadership, constructive dialogue, and unified efforts are essential for the nation to regain stability.

Highlighting that the current instability has undermined consumer confidence, NADA warned of possible long-term impacts on investment and employment. The association called on all stakeholders to pursue solutions through dialogue and consensus.

NADA also offered heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives during the protests, extended sympathies to affected families, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured while expressing hope for the swift return of peace and stability to the country.
