Global IME Bank Limited has been honored with the “Best Bank Award 2025” by Global Finance Magazine. The award was presented to the bank’s Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal and CEO Surendra Raj Regmi at a ceremony held in the United States on Saturday.
The recognition comes for the bank’s excellence in areas such as credibility, financial resource management, outreach expansion, strategic partnerships, business and customer-friendly services, and credit ratings, establishing Global IME Bank as Nepal’s top bank for 2025.
This marks the second consecutive year that Global IME Bank has received the Global Finance Best Bank Award, having also been recognized in 2024. Chairman Dhakal expressed that the award motivates the bank to provide even better services and extended heartfelt thanks to the Government of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank, regulatory authorities, shareholders, employees, and all customers for their support.
Global Finance Magazine honored leading banks from regions including Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, Central and Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Western Europe. Global IME Bank is the first Nepalese bank to receive this prestigious international recognition.
For 2025, other notable awardees include HSBC Hong Kong, State Bank of India, China Construction Bank, UOB Malaysia, Citi Bank Bangladesh, and SMBC Japan.
The award highlights Global IME Bank’s focus on innovative, timely, and customer-centric services and is expected to encourage the bank to continue delivering creative solutions to its clients.
The bank has previously received several national and international accolades, including Bank of the Year 2014, Best Internet Bank 2016, Best Bank Nepal 2024 and 2025, Euromoney Award for Excellence 2022, 2024, 2025, Best Bank ESG Nepal 2024, and Best Employer awards.
