MV Dugad Group, a leading name in Nepal’s industrial and commercial sector with a history spanning nearly 150 years, has organized a nationwide blood donation program to mark the 80th year of its Chairman, Motilal Dugad.

Held on Sunday under the theme “Your One Drop, Someone’s Life,” the campaign witnessed active participation from employees of the Group’s Auto Division and Hydro Division. The program was conducted at 20 locations across all seven provinces of Nepal, successfully collecting 578 pints of blood from 578 donors.

The blood donation drive covered one location of the Hydro Division, 16 branches of the Automobile Division stretching from eastern Mechi to western Mahakali, along with three dealer locations. According to the Group, the collected blood helped save the lives of three patients in Birgunj, Butwal, and Dhangadhi.

In addition to employees, friends, neighbors, and members of the local community around the donation centers also actively participated in the humanitarian initiative. The Group stated that this small effort toward public welfare aims to spread a positive social message and bring satisfaction and happiness to its Chairman on this special occasion.

The Group also extended warm wishes to Chairman Motilal Dugad on his 80th year milestone, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility.

Vice Chairman Vivek Dugad informed that MV Dugad Group is involved in diverse sectors including automobiles, agriculture, hydropower, and construction. The Group also holds significant investments in the banking sector, life and non-life insurance, reinsurance, and microinsurance companies.

Contributing to Nepal’s infrastructure development and economic growth, the Group is currently generating 161 megawatts of electricity from hydropower projects in Solukhumbu and Ramechhap districts, supplying power through the national transmission grid. During the monsoon season, surplus electricity is exported to India, earning foreign currency for the Government of Nepal. Additionally, a hydropower project of around 200 megawatts is under construction in Dolakha district.
