Kathmandu, October 15 — Citizens Bank International Limited has signed memorandums of understanding with Ramada Encore Kathmandu, Hotel Himalayan Horizon and Pankh Bike Pvt. Ltd. to provide special discounts to its customers on hospitality services and bicycle purchases.
Following the agreements, Citizens Bank customers using the bank’s debit cards, credit cards, Privilege Cards and mobile banking services will be eligible for discounts of up to 15% at the participating businesses.
Under the agreement, customers will receive the following benefits:
- Hotel Himalayan Horizon: Debit cardholders will receive a 10% discount on food and beverages, while credit cardholders will be entitled to a 15% discount.
- Ramada Encore Kathmandu: Customers will receive a 15% discount on food, beverages and spa services.
- Pankh Bike Pvt. Ltd.: Customers will receive a 10% discount on purchases of electric and conventional bicycles.
The bank believes that such partnerships will benefit its customers while encouraging them to shift from cash-based transactions to digital payments.
Citizens Bank has been introducing customer-friendly facilities and promotional offers to expand the use of digital banking channels and encourage customers to make payments electronically. Bank Expands Digital Banking Services
Citizens Bank International Limited has received the internationally recognised Bank of the Year award for 2024 and 2025. The bank has also introduced several digital banking products and services to improve customer convenience.
In collaboration with Fonepay, the bank launched the Citizens Fonepay Credit Card, a virtual credit card described by the bank as Nepal’s first of its kind.
The bank has also introduced the Citizens Gen-Z Saving Account, designed for younger customers, and the Citizens Digi Bank Service, an integrated online platform. In addition, it has launched a dedicated Freelancer Savings Account for people working as freelancers.
Citizens Bank has introduced facilities that allow customers to apply for shares and obtain a Customer Registration Number (CRN) through its mobile banking application. It has also launched a cross-bank teller service through which customers of other banks can withdraw cash from Citizens Bank branches by scanning a teller QR code.
Serving More Than Two Million Customers
Citizens Bank continues to provide modern banking services through its extensive nationwide network. According to the bank, its network comprises 200 branches across 61 districts, 167 ATMs, three extension counters and 42 branchless banking units.
Through this network, the bank serves approximately 2.078 million customers, while continuing to expand its digital services and customer-focused facilities.
The latest partnerships with Ramada Encore Kathmandu, Hotel Himalayan Horizon and Pankh Bike further broaden the benefits available to Citizens Bank customers while supporting the bank’s efforts to promote convenient digital payments.
