Kathmandu, October 15, 2026 — Sana Kisan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has issued a public notice urging shareholders to collect cash dividends that have remained unclaimed for more than five years.
The microfinance financial institution has requested shareholders who have not received dividend payments approved by its previous Annual General Meetings (AGMs) to contact its designated share registrar and complete the necessary procedures to claim their outstanding amounts.
The notice also outlines the documentation and account-related requirements shareholders must fulfill before the unclaimed dividend funds are transferred to the Investor Protection Fund under prevailing legal provisions.
Contact Laxmi Sunrise Capital to Claim Dividends
Shareholders seeking to collect their outstanding cash dividends have been advised to contact Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited, the company’s designated share registrar, located in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu.
Claimants should coordinate with the share registrar to verify their dividend records and complete the required formalities for receiving their pending payments.
The institution has emphasized the importance of ensuring that shareholder records and banking details are accurate to facilitate the distribution of outstanding dividends.
Physical Shareholders Advised to Dematerialize Shares
Shareholders who still hold physical share certificates have been advised to submit their certificates for dematerialization through their respective Depository Participant (DP) offices.
Dematerialization converts physical share certificates into electronic form, allowing securities to be maintained in a dematerialized account and facilitating transactions and related services.
Shareholders are encouraged to complete this process to ensure their shareholding records are properly maintained.
Update Bank Details for Direct Dividend Payments
The institution has also requested shareholders with outdated, incomplete, or unlinked banking information to update their bank account details in their respective Beneficiary Owner Identification (BOID) accounts.
Updated banking information is important for enabling the direct electronic transfer of dividend payments to eligible shareholders.
Shareholders should verify that their bank account information is correctly linked to their demat accounts to avoid delays in receiving their outstanding dividends.
Additional Documents Required for Pledged Shares
Shareholders whose shares have been pledged or frozen must provide the necessary clearance documents before claiming their dividend amounts.
Such shareholders are required to submit an official share-release letter or a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the relevant lending bank or financial institution to Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited.
The documents will help establish that the relevant restrictions have been cleared and that the dividend claim can be processed in accordance with the applicable requirements.
Unclaimed Dividends to Be Transferred to Investor Protection Fund
Sana Kisan has reminded shareholders that unclaimed dividends cannot remain outstanding indefinitely. Under Section 182, Sub-section (9), and Section 183, Sub-section (1), of the Companies Act, 2063 (2006), cash dividends that remain unclaimed beyond the prescribed five-year period are subject to transfer to the Investor Protection Fund.
Shareholders who have yet to collect their dividend payments are therefore encouraged to contact the share registrar, verify their records, update their banking information, and complete any outstanding documentation before the applicable legal procedures are carried out.
The notice aims to inform eligible shareholders about the available claim process and encourage them to settle their pending dividend claims in accordance with the company’s requirements and prevailing law.
