Kathmandu: Employees of Kumari Bank Limited have contributed NPR 4,597,353.50 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support communities affected by the devastating floods in the Rasuwa–Trishuli–Bhotekoshi region.

The contribution was collected through voluntary salary deductions by bank employees as a gesture of solidarity with communities that suffered significant human and physical losses due to the natural disaster.

Kumari Bank expects the funds to be utilized through the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for relief, rescue, and rehabilitation programs benefiting affected communities.

Employees Demonstrate Solidarity Through Voluntary Contributions

According to the bank, the employees’ contribution reflects humanitarian concern, social solidarity, and a sense of responsibility toward the nation.

Kumari Bank has stated that social responsibility remains one of its key priorities and that it continues to stand alongside communities affected by natural disasters.

The voluntary contribution represents an additional effort by the bank’s employees to support relief and recovery initiatives for flood-affected citizens.

Bank Had Previously Contributed Rs. 30 Million

Kumari Bank had earlier provided NPR 30 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief, rescue, rehabilitation, and reconstruction efforts for citizens affected by the Trishuli–Bhotekoshi floods.

In addition to the financial contribution, the bank provided the Ministry of Home Affairs with disaster management equipment worth NPR 3.9 million to strengthen rescue and relief operations in the affected areas.

The equipment included advanced drones, power banks, generators, and other essential disaster management supplies intended to support emergency response activities.

Continued Support for Flood-Affected Communities

The latest employee contribution adds to the bank’s previous financial and material assistance for communities affected by the floods.

Through these initiatives, Kumari Bank and its employees aim to support ongoing relief, rescue, rehabilitation, and reconstruction efforts while reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility during natural disasters.
