Yamaha Maps Dashain Service Support for Festive Riders

Kathmandu. MAW Two Wheelers, the official distributor of Yamaha in Nepal, has launched the Yamaha Dashain Service Support initiative to help motorcycle and scooter riders travel more confidently during the festive season.

The initiative allows Yamaha riders to obtain route-specific contact details for official service centers, quick-service points and emergency technicians along their planned journeys across Nepal.

Dashain is one of the busiest travel periods in the country, with people traveling long distances to reunite with their families. Heavy highway traffic, changing weather conditions, winding mountain roads and limited access to reliable repair services in remote areas can make two-wheeler journeys more challenging.

To address these concerns, Yamaha has mapped service facilities and support contacts along major travel routes, including highways used by festive travelers.

How to Access Route-Specific Service Support

Riders can access the service through the official Yamaha Express Service portal or by scanning the official campaign QR code.

To receive customized service network contacts, users need to submit their starting point, final destination, travel dates, vehicle model and contact number.

After submitting the details, riders can obtain a customized list of verified Yamaha service centers, quick-assist points, emergency helpline numbers and technicians along their selected travel routes.

The service is designed to help riders identify available support options before starting their journeys, reducing the difficulty of locating authorized assistance during unexpected vehicle problems.

Why Route-Based Assistance Matters During Dashain

Long-distance travel can place additional stress on motorcycle and scooter engines, brakes and tires. Riders traveling along busy highways, winding mountain roads and areas with unpredictable weather may also face difficulties finding trusted repair facilities, particularly during festival holidays.

By providing route-specific service contacts, Yamaha aims to make it easier for riders to identify assistance points along their planned journeys.

Essential Vehicle Checks Before Departure

Riders are encouraged to visit their nearest Yamaha service center for a pre-trip inspection before setting off. The recommended checks include:

  • Engine oil: Check the oil level and condition, and replace it if the vehicle is approaching its scheduled service interval.
  • Tires: Inspect tread condition and air pressure to maintain adequate grip on wet or uneven roads.
  • Brakes: Check brake-pad thickness and brake fluid, and replace worn components when necessary.
  • Chain and drive system: Inspect chain tension and lubrication. For long rides, the provided checklist recommends cleaning and lubricating the chain every 500 kilometers.
  • Lighting and electrical systems: Ensure that headlights, indicators and brake lights are functioning properly for visibility, particularly during night travel.

Plan Ahead for a More Convenient Journey

MAW Two Wheelers has encouraged Yamaha motorcycle and scooter owners to submit their travel details through the official Dashain Service Support portal before departure.

By combining pre-trip vehicle inspections with route-specific service contacts, the initiative aims to help riders prepare for festive journeys and identify appropriate technical assistance when needed.
