Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has published an official notice regarding the election of directors to fill vacant positions on its Board of Directors.
The election will be conducted during the bank’s upcoming 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Ashwin 28, 2083 (October 14, 2026).
The Office of the Election Officer at the bank’s Lazimpat, Kathmandu, office has issued the notice and will oversee the election process.
Three Directors from Founder Shareholder Group
Machhapuchchhre Bank will conduct an election for three directors representing the founder shareholder group.
The three positions will be filled in accordance with Rule 8(2)(a) of the bank’s Articles of Association.
The election for the founder shareholder representatives will be conducted according to the prescribed procedures and applicable provisions governing the bank’s Board of Directors.
One Director from General Public Shareholder Group
The bank will also conduct an election for one director representing the general public shareholder group.
The elected director will serve for the remaining term of the respective position. The election will be conducted in accordance with Rule 8(2)(b) of the bank’s Articles of Association.
Therefore, a total of four directors will be elected during the upcoming AGM—three from the founder shareholder group and one from the general public shareholder group.
Election to Follow Director Election Guidelines 2075
The bank has stated that the election will be conducted in accordance with the Director Election Guidelines, 2075.
The detailed election schedule was officially displayed on the notice board at the bank’s Central Office in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, on Ashwin 16, 2083.
All election-related activities will be coordinated through the Office of the Election Officer, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited, Lazimpat, Kathmandu.
The upcoming election is aimed at filling the vacant positions on the bank’s Board of Directors through representation from both founder and general public shareholder groups during the 28th Annual General Meeting.
