NMB Bank Joins LOOP Network to Offer Flexible Purchase Credit and EMI

Kathmandu: NMB Bank Limited has partnered with Citytech Group Pvt. Ltd. and Smart Choice Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (SCT) to provide customers with more flexible digital financing options. Through a tripartite agreement, NMB Bank has joined the LOOP Network as an issuer bank.

The partnership will enable NMB Bank customers across Nepal to access instant purchase-credit facilities at participating merchants. Under the arrangement, customers can use their existing NMB debit cards or QR payment channels to make purchases through a facility called LOOP Credit.

The initiative is designed to make everyday purchases more convenient by integrating digital payment channels with flexible financing options.

Convert Everyday Purchases into Monthly Installments

Another key feature of the partnership is LOOP EMI, which allows customers to convert eligible everyday debit card purchases into equated monthly installments.

Instead of paying the full purchase amount at once, customers can manage their payments through monthly installments, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. The facility is intended to provide greater flexibility in managing day-to-day spending.

According to the announcement, the service focuses on customer convenience through flexible payment terms, fast digital processing, and transparent transactions.

The facility will operate through NMB Bank’s lending standards and secure backend infrastructure, supporting the delivery of digital financing services to customers.

Expanding Digital Financial Services Across Nepal

NMB Bank continues to emphasize green innovation and the expansion of financial services through its nationwide network. The bank currently operates 197 branches, 176 ATMs, and nine extended counters across the country.

By joining the LOOP Network, NMB Bank aims to provide customers with additional options for financing purchases and managing payments digitally. The collaboration with Citytech Group and SCT is expected to connect existing banking payment channels with purchase-credit and installment facilities at participating merchants.

The partnership adds another digital financing option for NMB Bank customers, allowing them to explore more flexible ways to pay for everyday purchases.

However, the announcement does not specify the interest rates, service charges, maximum credit limits, or detailed eligibility requirements for LOOP Credit and LOOP EMI. Customers should confirm the applicable terms with NMB Bank or the relevant service provider before using the facilities.
