Kathmandu, October 15, 2026 — Muktinath Capital Limited has completed the allotment of units for Muktinath Mutual Fund 2 on Ashwin 28, 2083 (October 14, 2026), increasing the scheme’s total size by 25 percent following strong investor demand during its public offering.
The closed-end mutual fund scheme was initially launched with an offering of 100 million units at a face value of NPR 10 per unit, amounting to NPR 1 billion. However, the issue received substantial investor interest, prompting the scheme manager to expand the total fund size in accordance with prevailing securities regulations.
Fund Size Increased to NPR 1.25 Billion
Following the upsizing, the total size of Muktinath Mutual Fund 2 has reached 125 million units, equivalent to NPR 1.25 billion. The increase represents an additional 25 million units worth NPR 250 million compared with the original issue size.
The expansion reflects strong participation from investors during the public subscription period and allows the scheme to accommodate a larger fund size under the applicable regulatory framework.
Public Issue Remained Open for Eight Days
Muktinath Capital Limited opened the public offering on Ashwin 1, 2083 (September 17, 2026). The subscription period continued until Ashwin 8, 2083 (September 24, 2026).
During the offering period, investors were able to apply for units at a face value of NPR 10 each. Following the completion of the subscription process, the scheme manager finalized the allotment on Ashwin 28, 2083.
The units were distributed to valid applicants in accordance with the established capital market allotment guidelines and applicable securities regulations.
Muktinath Bikas Bank Serves as Fund Sponsor
Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited is the fund sponsor of Muktinath Mutual Fund 2, while Muktinath Capital Limited serves as the scheme manager responsible for managing the fund and overseeing the allotment process.
With the completion of the allotment and the expansion of its total size to NPR 1.25 billion, Muktinath Mutual Fund 2 has moved forward with a larger investment pool than originally planned, reflecting the strong demand received during its public issue.
