Kamana Sewa Development Bank Opens Bids for Loan-Collateral Properties

Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has published a 15-day public auction notice inviting sealed bids for the sale of land and building properties pledged as collateral against loans that have gone into default.

The bank will sell the collateral properties on an “as-is, where-is” basis, according to the auction notice.

Under loans extended by the bank’s Damak Branch, properties associated with Anju Dhakal, proprietor of Hotel New Memory, and additional mortgagor Krishna Prasad Dhakal have been put up for sale. The loans include Business Loan (Periodic) and Home Loan facilities.

The properties include three land parcels located at Maharanijhoda VDC Ward No. 5(A), Jhapa. The first parcel, Plot No. 2632, has an area of 0-1-10-2.55, equivalent to 507.99 square meters.

The second parcel, Plot No. 2630, covers 0-1-0-0, equivalent to 338.70 square meters. The third parcel, Plot No. 2629, covers 0-3-0-0, equivalent to 1,016.11 square meters.

Similarly, a property belonging to borrower and mortgagor Lal Bahadur Bista, with additional mortgagor Aditya Bista, has also been put up for auction. The loan was extended by the bank’s Itahari Branch under the Saral Aawashik Karja (Simple Residential Loan) category.

The property consists of land and a building located at Itahari VDC Ward No. 3(A), Sunsari, under Plot No. 1045, with an area of 0-0-13-0, equivalent to 440.20 square meters.

Bid Forms and Submission

Interested bidders can obtain the official bidding application form from the bank’s Central Office in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu, or from the respective branches by paying a non-refundable fee of NPR 1,000.

Bidders are required to deposit at least 10 percent of their proposed total bid amount as bid security into the bank’s account. Alternatively, bidders may submit a Good for Payment A/C Payee Cheque issued by a recognized bank or financial institution.

Individual bidders must submit a copy of their Nepali Citizenship Certificate. Firms and corporate bidders are required to submit documents including their Firm/Company Registration Certificate, PAN Registration Certificate, Board Resolution and Tax Clearance Certificate.

Sealed bids must be submitted to the bank’s Central Office at Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu, by 4:00 PM on Ashwin 15, 2083.

Bids to Be Opened on Ashwin 16

The bank has scheduled the opening of the submitted bids for 4:00 PM on Ashwin 16, 2083, at its Central Office in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu.

The successful bidder must pay the remaining balance of the approved bid amount within the period specified by the bank. If the successful bidder fails to make the required payment within the stipulated period, the deposited earnest money will be forfeited.

The successful bidder will also be responsible for all applicable government charges, registration fees, taxes and other expenses required for the transfer of ownership.

Through the auction, Kamana Sewa Development Bank is proceeding with the sale of land and building properties pledged as collateral for loans extended through its Damak and Itahari branches as part of its loan recovery process.
