Kathmandu, Nepal: As Nepal’s electric vehicle market continues to expand, Sipradi Yatri has officially launched the Yatri P2, an electric scooter developed and manufactured in Nepal. Designed with Nepal’s diverse road conditions and terrain in mind, the P2 is aimed at both everyday urban commuting and longer-distance travel.

The Yatri P2 starts at Rs. 329,900. Customers can choose from different configurations based on their preferences and requirements, including battery capacity, color options, comfort features, and connectivity packages. This customization approach allows buyers to configure the scooter according to their individual needs.

PMSM Mid-Drive Motor with 315 Nm Wheel Torque

One of the key highlights of the Yatri P2 is its PMSM mid-drive motor. According to the company, the motor delivers 315 Nm of wheel torque, providing the power required for uphill roads and challenging terrain.

For improved performance during prolonged uphill rides, the P2 features a high-power controller with active cooling, designed to help prevent excessive heat buildup in the motor and controller during demanding riding conditions.

Built for Nepal’s Diverse Roads

The Yatri P2 features a high-strength steel chassis, long-travel suspension, and 14-inch wheels, developed with Nepal’s varied road conditions in mind.

These features are intended to provide improved stability, handling, and ride comfort across uneven roads, winding routes, and challenging terrain.

Dual Disc Brakes with CBS

For braking and safety, the P2 comes equipped with dual disc brakes and a Combined Braking System (CBS). The system is designed to help distribute braking force between the wheels, supporting better control and stability during braking.

DC Fast Charging Support

The Yatri P2 also comes with DC fast-charging support, offering an additional charging option for users who need quicker charging.

Since battery capacity and certain features can vary depending on the configuration selected by customers, the final price and available features may differ according to the chosen variant.

With its combination of local manufacturing, modern electric technology, high torque, customization options, and a design tailored to Nepal’s road conditions, the Yatri P2 represents another step in the development of Nepal’s electric two-wheeler industry.

The launch is also expected to generate further interest in locally developed and manufactured electric two-wheelers in Nepal.
