Kathmandu. NMB Bank Limited and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote sustainable and climate-resilient development in Nepal.
The strategic partnership aims to connect scientific research with green banking and create sustainable investment opportunities for environmental conservation, climate change mitigation and strengthening the resilience of local communities.
The collaboration is expected to make green financing in Nepal more effective, technology-driven and focused on measurable outcomes.
Under the partnership, ICIMOD’s years of research, technical expertise and experience in capacity development will be connected with NMB Bank’s banking expertise and financial reach. By linking science-based research with practical financial solutions, the partnership aims to create an environment where innovative green businesses and environmentally sustainable projects can gain better access to financing.
