Global IME Bank’s 19th AGM Approves 8% Cash Dividend for Shareholders

Global IME Bank Limited successfully concluded its 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Kathmandu on Wednesday, marking another milestone in its financial journey.

During the meeting, shareholders unanimously approved an 8% cash dividend (including tax) from the accumulated profit of the fiscal year 2081/82 (2024/25). The dividend distribution was part of the bank’s broader profit-sharing plan, highlighting its commitment to rewarding investors while maintaining financial stability.

The AGM also endorsed the annual report and consolidated financial statements presented by Chairman Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, representing the Board of Directors.

For the fiscal year 2081/82, the bank recorded a remarkable operating profit of NPR 7.23 billion and a net profit after tax of NPR 5.07 billion, underscoring its strong performance amid a competitive banking environment.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Dhakal reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to ensuring compliance with the policies and regulations of the Government of Nepal and Nepal Rastra Bank, while continuing to deliver sustainable returns to shareholders. He also emphasized that Global IME Bank will expand its operations strategically into new business domains in the coming years to sustain balanced growth.

The AGM was attended by representatives from Nepal Rastra Bank, the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), institutional investors, shareholders, journalists, regulators, and employees, reflecting strong stakeholder engagement.
