Global IME Bank Limited and Floriculture Association Nepal have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote greenhouse technology in flower cultivation and ornamental horticulture, along with the development of an accessible credit system. The agreement was signed by Ashim Karmacharya, Head of Infrastructure & Project Financing at the bank, and Rajesh Bhakta Shrestha, President of Floriculture Association Nepal.
Under the agreement, the bank will provide special greenhouse loans targeting flower entrepreneurs and farmers, while the association will raise awareness about the bank’s agricultural loan programs among its members.
The partnership aims to increase flower production and productivity, promote greenhouse technologies, enhance quality infrastructure, and improve service delivery. It is also expected to encourage climate-adaptive practices, sustainable businesses, and the adoption of modern technologies among flower growers and entrepreneurs.
