China’s Geely Auto Group has introduced Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity in its Geely EX5 electric SUV in Nepal, enhancing the vehicle’s digital ecosystem and strengthening its position in the country’s growing EV market.
The update allows drivers to make calls, send messages, and navigate using Siri or Google Assistant without touching their phones. The CarPlay and Android Auto systems mirror smartphone interfaces on the vehicle’s built-in display, giving easy access to apps such as Maps, Spotify, and Messages.
Authorized distributor LRR Motors has started installing these features for all EX5 owners at their homes or offices. Future EX5 units will come with this connectivity pre-installed (inbuilt).
“Supported directly by Geely Auto Group, this smart connectivity upgrade brings the Geely EX5 on par with premium global EVs and meets the expectations of Nepali customers,” said Jeevan Jung Shahi, Managing Director of LRR Motors.
The EX5 Pro and EX5 Max variants are already popular in Nepal for their spacious cabin, advanced infotainment, long driving range, and cutting-edge safety features. With the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the SUV becomes an even more attractive choice for tech-savvy customers.
As Nepal shifts toward sustainable and technology-driven mobility, Geely Auto Group’s focus on innovation and customer-centric upgrades reinforces its long-term commitment to the Nepali automotive market.
