Kathmandu — Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extensive damage caused by the devastating floods in Nepal, while conveying serious concern over the situation in Rasuwa and other affected areas.
Dar said he was deeply distressed by reports of the loss of precious human lives, widespread property damage, and the hardships faced by people following the floods. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
He also prayed for the safe return of those who remain missing or unaccounted for following the disaster and expressed his deepest sympathy for the affected families who are enduring immense pain and uncertainty.
In this difficult hour, Dar reaffirmed that Pakistan stands firmly with the Government and people of Nepal and remains ready to provide all possible assistance if required.
He further expressed hope that rescue and relief efforts would be successful, that affected families would receive timely support, and that normalcy would return to the disaster-affected areas as soon as possible.
