Swarojgar Microfinance and Wean Nepal Microfinance Launch Integrated Operations

Swarojgar Microfinance Financial Institution Limited has officially commenced integrated operations on Sunday following its acquisition of Wean Nepal Microfinance Financial Institution Limited.
Gyanendra Prasad Pandey, Chairman of Swarojgar Microfinance, and Kumar Raj Joshi, Acting Chairman of Wean Nepal Microfinance, jointly inaugurated the integrated transactions during a ceremony held in Kathmandu.
Following the acquisition, the institution’s paid-up capital has reached approximately NPR 979.9 million, with a branch network of 112 locations and an active membership exceeding 132,000. Additionally, the institution reported total loan investments of around NPR 11.71 billion and savings deposits totaling NPR 5.88 billion.
The merger is expected to strengthen the institution’s capital base, outreach, and operational capabilities, making it easier to expand financial services to rural and marginalized communities.
