Citizens Bank Launches ‘Gen-G Savings Account’ Targeting Youth

Citizens Bank International Limited has launched a new youth-focused savings account, the “Citizens Gen-G Savings Account,” aiming to provide modern and tailored financial services to its customers.

The launch event took place at the bank’s corporate office on Mangsir 8, where CEO Ganeshraj Pokharel officially inaugurated the account.

According to the bank, the account is specially designed for students, freelancers, creators, entrepreneurial youth, and digital platform users, offering financial solutions suited to their lifestyle.

  • First-year free services: checkbook, demat account, C-Ashwa commission, and C-Ashwa registration

  • Digital bundle: ATM card, mobile banking, e-comm card, and internet banking for only NPR 500

  • 50% discount on travel card issuance fees

  • Dedicated Gen-G dashboard for mobile banking

  • 25% cashback on first mobile top-up

Previously, the bank had collaborated with PhonePe to launch Nepal’s first “Citizens PhonePe Credit Card”. It also offers a Freelancer Savings Account, share application and CRN services via mobile app, and cross-bank teller facilities.

Citizens Bank operates across 61 districts with 200 branches, 169 ATMs, 3 extended counters, and 42 branchless banking units, serving 1.954 million customers with modern banking solutions.
