Kathmandu: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has called for the continued development of artificial intelligence (AI), arguing that companies should focus on making their models safer and more reliable rather than slowing progress.
Zuckerberg said user trust, AI alignment and independent safety evaluations will become key factors in the industry’s competition. He also reiterated that future “superintelligence” should empower people broadly, rather than remain under the control of a few institutions.
His comments come amid growing debate in the AI industry over whether rapid development should be slowed to address potential risks.
